My Story – Antoinette Santini
My name is Antoinette Santini, and I’m an artist and photographer-but more than that, I’m a survivor.
Several years ago, my life changed in an instant when I suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI). What followed was a long, difficult road of recovery-physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There were days when even the simplest tasks felt overwhelming. But in that season of brokenness, something unexpected began to take shape: a new vision, both literally and spiritually.
God met me in the darkness and gave me a new purpose. Through His grace, what felt like an ending became a beginning.
As I healed, I picked up a camera. At first, it was just a way to slow down and observe. But over time, photography became a powerful tool of restoration-helping me express what words often couldn’t. I began capturing moments of stillness, light, and quiet beauty. Each photo became part of my healing, and part of a greater story of hope.
Today, I travel to meet others-especially fellow TBI survivors-who are navigating their own difficult journeys. I share not just my art, but my testimony: that even in pain, there can be purpose. That healing is possible. That creativity can be a bridge from trauma to transformation.
My mission is to inspire others to rediscover their voice, their light, and their passions-even in the face of adversity. Whether you’re here because you love photography, or because you’re looking for hope, I’m grateful you’ve found your way to my work.
