Healing Times

My Story - Antoinette

Hi!  I am Antoinette, a woman whose life exemplifies resilience and unwavering faith in the face of life’s challenges. In September 2016, I experienced a life-changing fall at home that resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury (T.B.I).  From that moment, I committed myself to navigating this new reality with strength, hope, and determination.

Over the past few years, I have faced numerous hurdles, including multiple concussions and ongoing recovery through speech, physical, and cognitive therapies. Despite these obstacles, I have refused to let adversity define me. Instead, I have embraced my disabilities and used my experiences to share my testimony of how God used my Pain for His Purpose and inspire others.

In December 2023, accompanied by my loyal dog Buddy, I embarked on a journey across states in my trusted minivan, meeting other T.B.I. survivors. This journey was a testament to God’s miracles in my life.

Through my passion for photography, I enjoy capturing spontaneous moments and memories that celebrate life, love, family, strength, and hope. Working with fellow T.B.I. survivors and strangers alike, I aim to raise awareness about brain injuries, and demonstrate what can be achieved with faith, perseverance and hope.

My journey is about more than survival—it’s about thriving, growing, and inspiring others to pursue their passions regardless of the obstacles they face. I am committed to creating a better future, whether that means upgrading my van to a larger camper to maintain my independence or supporting myself through my art.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support, whether through donations or purchasing my artwork, helps me continue this path of healing, empowerment, and hope. I am grateful for the love and encouragement of all those who believe in my strength and purpose.
